Medical Alert Service

Personal Emergency Response System

One in three seniors fall each year and 82% of these falls occur when the person is alone. How quickly you get help plays a critical role in maintaining your health and independence. The CareLink Medical Alert Service enables you to quickly and reliably summon help at the touch of a button any time of the day or night. The CareLink unit provides a 24-hour connection to professional responders at the push of a button in case of a fall, medical emergency, or whenever assistance of any type is needed. CareLink also offers an enhanced fall detection, which will automatically call the response center if a fall is detected and the subscriber is unable to push the button. There is no equipment to buy, and no long-term contract is required. Visiting Nurse Plus staff personally installs the unit, teaches the individual how to use it, and is available for ongoing questions and concerns.

Medication Management System

Complex medication schedules can lead to mistakes: missing doses, taking incorrect amounts or taking pills at the wrong time. CareMed Medication Management Service offers advanced medication organizers designed for in-home use that feature: Easy-to-handle medicine cups, customer reminders including a flashing light for appropriate compartment; audible reminders as well as optional phone calls, text messages and emails; security and locking measures help prevent over-dosing. A Visiting Nurse Plus registered nurse will bring the unit to your home and teach a caregiver how to set it up. For an extra fee, you may choose to have the nurse fill it for you on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. There is no equipment to buy and no long-term contract to sign. Monitoring is cellular-based; no phone line is required.
